The channel VAS Championship returns to St George’s Hill in November for a fifth edition, once again as a PSA World Tour GOLD event which is expected to attract many of the world’s top male players to Surrey.
The tournament runs from 19th to 24th November, with a $106,000 prize fund.
All matches will be played out on St George’s all-glass court which offers viewing for 240 spectators.
Last year’s event saw Tarek Momen beat Ali Farag in an all-Egyptian five-setter, and the two went on to contest the PSA World Championship final in Chicago a few weeks later.
Former champions Mohamed ElShorbagy and Paul Coll are just two of the other star names that are likely to be in the field (entries close on 1st October).
We’re delighted to be able to stage the Championship for a fifth time, thanks to the continuing generosity of Bassim Haidar and Channel VAS.
We’re looking forward to seeing the world’s best players here at St George’s, there have been some truly memorable matches and worthy winner in the previous editions and we’re anticipating more of the same.
Once again we’re able to channel ticket proceeds to a truly worthy cause, and we’d love to have every session sold out as soon as possible !
