Four players withdraw from Men’s event after Women’s losses

Fourth seed Mazen Hesham, plus Fares Dessouky, Eain Yow Ng and Sebastien Bonmalais have  withdrawn from the upcoming Optasia Championships 2025.

Youssef Ibrahim and Miguel Rodriguez have moved to top eight seeds whilst Mohamed Elshorbagy has moved to fourth seed.

Juan Vargas, Jonah Bryant, Nick Wall and Yannick Wilhelmi have all entered the draw from the reserve list. Vargas will take on Nicolas Mueller, Bryant faces France’s Auguste Dussourd, Wall will play Gregoire Marche and Wilhelmi will play fellow Swiss Dimitri Steinmann.

This follows the withdrawal last week of the original top two women’s seeds, Nouran Gohar and Nour ElSherbini.
