“Yeh, don’t be friends with you working enemies; that’s the morale of the story. Me and Lisa are such good friends and you know it’s always tough to play a friend and trying to concentrate and I know what she’s capable of, were pretty much the same age so been growing up playing and watching each other, not played each other to too many times, but it’s tough to concentrate, as soon as I wasn’t playing my best squash she was all over it, so really please to come off in three.
“It’s certainly coming to the latter end of my career, I can’t speak for Lisa for at all, she’s like a spring chicken. She’s put in so much work to come back from that horrific injury… you can see how much she loves the game and that really shines through and I think at the end of the day she’s going to be remember for her exciting squash… she’s going to be remembered for her that really energetic squash, explosive movements and I just want to make her aware of that and congratulate her on her incredible comeback… massive well done to Lisa for that and its great she’s back and playing such great squash.
“It’s the tournament I played for the first time last year, we have watched the men on SQUASHTV for a number of years, so I was really excited when it got added… I really wanted to play…we are lucky to have events like this on tour, so yeah really really pleased to be playing in the quarter-finals”
